The Adventist College of Palhoça, Santa Catarina (Brazil) sought to modernize its network infrastructure to offer high-performance connectivity and security to students, teachers, and staff. The challenge included ensuring a stable network across all of the institution’s units, meeting the growing demand for technology in classrooms, laboratories, and administrative areas.
The solution implemented by DCA involved the installation of Lightera’s Laserway PON LAN solution, guaranteeing greater reliability, reduced interference, and expansion capacity to meet the institution’s future growth. For connectivity, high-performance Cambium Access Points were used, providing broad coverage, speed, and stability for all connected devices.
In addition, security and monitoring were reinforced with CCTV software, intelligent access control, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), ensuring the protection of people and equipment and continuous operation even in situations of power instability.
With this robust and modern infrastructure, the college reinforced its commitment to quality education, using technology as a tool to develop autonomy, critical thinking, and integration between students and teachers, ensuring efficiency, security, and innovation in all activities.
