DCA Completes 11 Years of Support for Pequeno Príncipe Hospital

Committed to social responsibility, DCA supports Pequeno Príncipe Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in Brazil, which allocates up to 70% of its capacity to SUS (Brazil’s public health system). The institution performs more than 300,000 outpatient visits per year, 22,000 hospitalizations, and 20,000 surgeries, benefiting children and teenagers from all over the country.

With 99 years of history, the hospital, located in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, is a national reference in pediatrics and promotes healthcare with technical and scientific excellence and humanization, as well as initiatives focused on education and cultural development, benefiting thousands of boys and girls.

Pequeno Príncipe Hospital was one of the pioneers in Brazil in implementing the concept of humanized care as one of its core values, through integrated and multidisciplinary care systems that view the human being in their entirety and individuality, always respecting dignity and also offering support to families—going beyond the illness that caused hospitalization.

The hospital adopts a holistic approach, ensuring that care is not limited only to the pathology, but also includes emotional and social support for patients and their families.

For 11 years, DCA and its employees have supported the hospital’s projects, which are pioneers in public policy initiatives and contribute to improving the quality of life of children and adolescents, as well as reducing infant and juvenile mortality.
