DCA Inaugurates 2 New Distribution Centers

Seeking to optimize and improve the service offered to customers, Delta Cable is undergoing strategic logistics updates and has inaugurated 2 new Distribution Centers. For the company, the cities chosen—Curitiba and Florianópolis, Santa Catarina—are strategic for this new phase.

“DCA, with 26 years in the market, has always had as one of its principles the goal of doing what is best for its customers. At this moment, we saw the need for centralization so that we could offer a greater variety of products,” says Ronaldo Hellwig, Technical and Commercial Director of the company.

The expansions are part of a broader movement within the company: improvements in logistics, e-commerce, and commercial service.

“We believe that centralizing all inventory in 2 DCs will simplify processes and bring many benefits to the customer,” says Vanderlei Ribatski, Superintendent of the company.

Benefits

The updates will bring greater agility, including same-day delivery options, improved product handling, storage, and inventory control.

For Edvaldo Souza, Logistics Director, “The main goal is efficiency. We are a facilitator between manufacturers and buyers. As distributors, we are a logistics company. And a logistics company only survives if there is efficiency.”

In addition to faster delivery times, improved logistics efficiency will allow the sales team to focus even more on consultative customer service.

“We are structuring the company for a new cycle, to serve customers faster and better from our units and across Brazil through e-commerce, moving increasingly toward an omnichannel approach, in an effective way without losing the close and personalized service that has always defined us,” states Ronaldo Hellwig.

Actions Taken

With an investment of approximately R$600,000 and 90 days of construction work, the improvements include tripling the number of pallet positions, enabling a wider variety of products and solutions.

In addition, the company acquired new forklifts, installed new Wi-Fi devices, implemented full-space monitoring, upgraded its warehouse management system (WMS), enhanced alarm systems, and renewed its vehicle fleet, providing greater agility and delivery mobility.

Other Changes

Alongside the investments in the new DCs, the administrative headquarters in Curitiba was also remodeled, expanded, and upgraded. As in the distribution centers, the goal was to concentrate teams for even greater synergy. The company’s training room is also being renovated and is expected to reopen in early July.

“This is undoubtedly the beginning of a new cycle in which customers, employees, and suppliers will benefit and feel the difference,” concludes Ronaldo Hellwig.
