Eletrobras, responsible for approximately 30% of Brazil’s electrical capacity and recognized as the 5th largest hydroelectric power generator in the world, faced a major challenge: modernizing its IT infrastructure without interrupting legacy system operations.
The project included the deployment of a Data Center with 180 m² of total area and 89 m² of critical space, featuring high storage capacity, robust structured cabling, and Lightera optical fiber infrastructure. More than 1,380 OM4 fiber links, 276 single-mode fiber links, and 1,116 CAT.6A copper ports were integrated, along with 70 racks and servers with 42 TB each—ensuring scalability and high performance for critical operations.
Delivered under a turnkey model, the project provided a fully operational infrastructure with complete data integration, secure replication, online research capabilities, and continuous availability. This modernization brought increased reliability, efficiency, and security, enabling Eletrobras to maintain its technological leadership in the energy sector—even during complex retrofit and expansion processes without disrupting legacy systems.
